elastudio or Sympla?

The Sympla alternative with a flat plan, not a fee per ticket.

Sympla charges no monthly fee and takes a 10% service fee on each paid ticket, plus 2% to 2.5% for processing. On elastudio you pay a flat plan, starting with Free, and elastudio takes no percentage of your tickets; Stripe charges its own payment fees to your account.

Why retreat hosts pick elastudio over Sympla

  1. A flat plan instead of 10% a ticket.

    On a retreat at R$2,000 a guest, Sympla’s 10% service fee is R$200 a guest, paid by you or passed on to the buyer, plus the processing fee. On elastudio the plan price stays the same however many guests you have.

  2. Made for retreats.

    A ticket type for each lodging option, a deposit at purchase with the balance charged on a date you set, cancellation tiers, and a waiting list when it sells out.

  3. Guests buy from you.

    Your name, logo and colours on the event page, e-mails and receipts, selling inside your own website, in English, Portuguese and Spanish, with the money in your own Stripe account.

  • Your events are free, or you sell a few cheap tickets, and paying nothing a month matters most.
  • You want to be found by people browsing a large events site.
  • You run large events with seat maps and many gates.

  1. Create the retreat as an event, with a ticket type for each lodging option.
  2. Set the deposit, the balance date and your cancellation tiers.
  3. Connect Stripe and share the event link, or place it inside your own website.

How much does Sympla cost?

Sympla has no monthly fee. Free events cost nothing; on paid events it takes a 10% service fee per ticket, which you can pass on to the buyer, plus 2% to 2.5% processing (checked on 28 October 2026).

Can guests pay a deposit and the rest later?

Yes. Set a deposit on the ticket type; elastudio charges the balance on the date you choose, and your cancellation tiers decide what comes back.

Can I keep selling on Sympla too?

Yes. Many hosts keep a listing where people discover events and sell to returning guests on their own page.
