Who changed what: the activity log
elastudio records every change your staff make, with who, what and when. The owner and admins read it on the Activity page (Settings, Tools), filtered by dates, person and action.
What is recorded
Every change a staff member makes in the admin writes a line to your studio’s activity log: who did it, what they did, which record it touched, a short before and after, and when. Some changes elastudio makes on its own, such as an automatic refund that failed, are recorded too. For example:
- adding, editing or cancelling a class, and changes to rooms
- booking a member in or out, and marking attendance
- pausing a pass or membership, or adjusting its credits or dates, with the reason staff gave
- sales, payments recorded and refunds
- changes to settings, the theme, uploads and staff roles
- every import and every undo of an import
- every CSV export of members or reports
The log cannot be edited by staff, so it stays a reliable record.
Read the log
- Open Settings and, under Tools, choose Activity. On a phone, Settings is under More.
- The newest changes come first. Each line shows what happened (for example Pass or membership: paused), the date and time, and who did it.
- To narrow the list, set From and To dates, choose a Person (or Automatic (the system)), and choose What happened: one area, such as Class: everything, or one action.
- Choose Show older to load more. Clear filters shows everything again.
Changes made by elastudio itself show Automatic. If the person has left your team, the line says Someone no longer on the staff.
Who can see it
Only the owner and admins see the Activity page. Front desk staff and teachers do not.
Privacy
IP addresses, passwords and keys are never shown on the page. Members’ personal details, such as e-mail, phone, health notes or address, are not repeated either: the log says they changed, not what they were. The internet addresses (IP addresses) kept in the security log are cleared after one year.
Note: The activity log is on every plan, including Free.
