Analytics

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity help us see which pages are used, where people get stuck and which campaigns bring visitors, including recordings of clicks and scrolls with all text on the page hidden. We also remember in this browser, for 90 days, which campaign link brought you. If you switch this on, the data is sent to Google and Microsoft in the United States, and you agree to that transfer.

How to run your studio on elastudio, from your first class to your monthly reports.

Set up a monthly membership

A membership is time based. Turn on Renews every month and members pay by card each month, renewing on the same day, until they cancel.

Two kinds of membership

A membership lets a member book for a length of time instead of a number of classes. It can be unlimited or have a limit, such as 2 classes a week.

  • Fixed length: paid once, lasts a set period (for example 3 months). Available on every plan.
  • Renews every month: billed by card each month through your Stripe account. Monthly memberships billed by card start on the Starter plan.

Create a monthly membership

  1. Open Settings and, in the What you sell group, Passes and memberships. Select New membership.
  2. Fill in Name, Short description and Price (tax included).
  3. Leave Renews every month on.
  4. Set Minimum months. 0 means members can stop any time.
  5. Optional: turn on Limit how often it can be used, for example 2 Classes Per Week (Monday to Sunday).
  6. Select Save.

Your Stripe account must be connected before members can subscribe.

What the member sees

The member chooses the membership on the pricing page or while booking a class, and pays the first month by card on a secure Stripe page. It renews every month on the same day. Pix is for one-time purchases only. Recurring Pix (Pix Automático) is coming later.

In their account, under Passes, the member sees the next renewal date and can select Cancel plan. The plan stays valid until the end of the paid month. If there is a minimum term, the end date respects it.

Reminders and alerts

Under Reminders and alerts in a monthly membership:

  • Renewal notice (days before): how many days before each monthly charge the notices below go out. It starts at 7; 0 turns them off.
  • E-mail the member before each renewal: on by default. The member gets Membership renews soon with the date and the amount, and a link to update the card.
  • Tell the studio before each renewal: off by default. Sends the studio alert A membership renews soon.
  • Tell the studio when it expires: off by default. Sends A pass or plan expired on the day the membership ends.

Notices go out once per renewal, and not for a membership that is paused or set to end. A change here counts for current subscribers too.

When a payment fails

The membership shows as Payment overdue for the member and Past due for you. The member gets an e-mail with a link to pay and can select Update card in their account. Stripe retries the charge on its own. Bookings stay allowed for a 3-day grace period, then new bookings are refused until the payment goes through. Bookings already made are kept. Once paid, everything works again without anything from you.

Follow and change memberships

Open a member’s profile to see Memberships with the status, the next payment and the minimum term.

  • To sell one at the desk, create the sale with Pay later and send the member the payment link, since monthly memberships are paid by card.
  • To end one now, refund its payment and choose End the membership now, or cancel the subscription in your Stripe Dashboard.
  • Changing the price saves a new version for new sales. Current subscribers keep the price they signed up for.
