Create a pass
A pass is a number of classes that lasts for a set time. Create it in Passes and memberships, check the sentence members will read, and save.
What a pass is
A pass gives a member a number of classes (credits) to use within a period. A drop-in class is simply a pass with 1 class. Each booking uses one class from the pass.
Create a pass
- Open Passes and memberships in Settings, under What you sell. On a phone, Settings is under More.
- Select New pass.
- Fill in Name and Short description in each of your studio’s languages.
- Enter the Price. Prices are tax included.
- Set Classes included.
- Under How long it lasts, choose A period (then set Length, Unit and The period starts) or Fixed dates (then set From and To).
- Optional: turn on Limit how often it can be used and set how many Classes Per week, calendar month or whole period.
- Select Save.
The period can start On the day of purchase, On the day of the first class booked or On a day the buyer picks.
Check the sentence
At the top of the form, Members read shows the pass in one sentence, something like “4 classes, valid 30 days from purchase”, plus the price per class. If something does not add up, a warning appears. For example, when the name talks about a week but the limit counts per month.
Other switches
- One per person: each member can buy it only once. Use it for a trial or intro offer.
- Sold online: when off, only staff can sell it, at the desk.
- Shown on the pricing page: when off, only people with the link can buy it.
Reminders and alerts
Under Reminders and alerts in the pass:
- Remind the member before it ends (days): the member gets Pass or plan about to expire this many days before the last day. It starts at 7; 0 turns it off.
- Tell the studio when it expires: sends the studio alert A pass or plan expired on the day it runs out. It is off by default, and turning it on also covers passes already sold.
Change or stop selling a pass
Changing the price, classes, length or limits saves a new version. Anyone who already bought keeps the terms they paid for, and Versions lists every version. Names and descriptions change in place.
To stop selling a pass, select Archive. It leaves the pricing page and cannot be bought, and people who bought it keep using it until it ends.
If your Stripe account is connected, each pass also appears as a product in Stripe, so invoices and Stripe reports use the same names.
Note: The Free plan includes 3 passes and 1 membership. Starter and above have no limit.
To let only some passes book a class, choose Only with chosen passes under Who can book in that class’s Booking options.
