Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity help us see which pages are used, where people get stuck and which campaigns bring visitors, including recordings of clicks and scrolls with all text on the page hidden. We also remember in this browser, for 90 days, which campaign link brought you. If you switch this on, the data is sent to Google and Microsoft in the United States, and you agree to that transfer.

How to run your studio on elastudio, from your first class to your monthly reports.

Choose who can see and book a class

Each class has Booking options: Who can book (any pass, only chosen passes, free, or staff only), On the schedule (shown, drop in, or hidden) and its own booking rules. Studio-wide rules live in Settings, Booking rules.

Where to find it

Open a class and select Edit class (or start a New class), then open Booking options. The class type also has a default for Who can book, used for every new class of that type. Only the owner and admins create or edit class types and their default. Included on every plan.

Who can book

  • Anyone with a valid pass or membership: the usual choice. Members without one are offered something to buy while booking.
  • Only with chosen passes: tick the Passes and memberships that can book. Members need one of these to book this class. Choose at least one.
  • Free, no pass needed: members book a spot without using a credit.
  • Only staff can add people: members cannot book online. Staff add people from the class list.

Only the owner and admins can change Who can book, the chosen passes or a class’s booking rules. Front desk can edit the rest of the class, sees Who can book greyed out with “Only the owner or an admin can change who can book with which passes and this class’s booking rules.”, and a new class they create always uses the class type’s default.

On the schedule

  • Shown, with a book button: members see and book it.
  • Shown, no booking needed (drop in): members see it and just turn up.
  • Hidden, staff and booked people only: it does not appear on the public schedule.

When a class cannot be booked online, its details say “Members cannot book this class online.”

Studio booking rules

Open Settings and find Booking rules. These are the studio defaults:

  • Booking opens (days before class): the platform default is 60 days.
  • Booking closes (minutes before class): 0 keeps booking open until the class starts.
  • Free cancellation up to (hours before class): the default is 2 hours. Later cancellations keep the class used.
  • Waiting list moves people up until (hours before class): the default is 24 hours. After that, a freed spot is open to everyone.
  • Waiting list when a class is full: on or off.

Select Save. elastudio warns you if the waiting list cutoff is shorter than the free cancellation window, because someone moved up late could then only cancel late.

Booking rules for one class

Under Booking rules for this class, Use the studio’s booking rules is on by default. Turn it off to set this class’s own Free cancellation up to (hours before), Waiting list moves people up until (hours before) and Booking opens (days before). Turn it back on to follow the studio again.

Note: The automatic waiting list starts on the Starter plan.
