Set a price per extra person
Person 1 pays the base price; each extra person pays a percentage of it. elastudio's recommended scale: people 2 to 5 pay 60% each, then 50%, 40%, 30% and 20%, then 10% per person from the 10th.
Choose how a group is priced
Private sessions start on the Starter plan. On each private session type (Settings, group What you sell, Passes and memberships), Price for a group offers two options:
- Same price for any group: the base price, however many people come.
- Base price plus each extra person: extra people pay a percentage of the base price, taken from an Extra-person schedule.
The recommended schedule
Every studio starts with elastudio’s recommended schedule:
- People 2, 3, 4 and 5: 60% of the base price each.
- Person 6: 50%. Person 7: 40%. Person 8: 30%. Person 9: 20%.
- From person 10 onwards: 10% each.
With a base price of 100, a session costs 100 for 1 person, 160 for 2, 220 for 3, 280 for 4, 340 for 5, 390 for 6, 430 for 7, 460 for 8, 480 for 9, 490 for 10 and 500 for 11.
Change the schedule
- Open Settings, then Private session settings in the What you sell group, and find Price for extra people.
- Edit the Studio default, or select New schedule. Start from elastudio’s recommended schedule fills in the default for you.
- Under Percent of the base price per person, give a percentage for each person, then From person and Percent from then on for everyone after. Percentages go from 0 to 100, with up to 2 decimals.
- Check the table under What a session costs, using an Example base price.
- Save. Use Make default to make a schedule the studio default.
A session type uses the studio default unless you pick another schedule on it.
How the price is worked out
Each extra person’s amount is rounded to the cent, then everything is added up. The member sees the breakdown before booking. The price is frozen when the request is placed: later changes to the schedule never change it. A promo code can be applied on the request.
Note: Most people in one session is 15 to start (1 to 50) in Private session settings. A session type can set a lower maximum, and at the studio the room’s spots also cap the group.
