How to run your studio on elastudio, from your first class to your monthly reports.

Event ticket types

An event sells one or more ticket types, such as Full price, Early bird or Member, each with its own price, quantity, limit per member and end of online sales. The event's Total places caps them all together.

Add a ticket type

An event needs at least one ticket type before anyone can buy. Open Events, open the event and, under Tickets, select Add ticket type. The owner and admins add and edit ticket types. Events are on every plan, including Free.

  • Name in each of your languages, for example Full price, Early bird or Member, and an optional Description.
  • Price in your studio’s currency. Zero makes it a free ticket.
  • Limit how many of this type, then How many. Without a limit, only the event’s places stop sales.
  • Limit per member, then Most one member can buy.
  • Stop online sales earlier, then Last day of sales and Until. Otherwise online sales stop when the event starts. Sales must end before the event ends.
  • Order: lower numbers come first in the list members see.

Select Save.

Places for the whole event and for each type

Two limits can work together:

  • Total places on the event (turn on Limit the total places): all ticket types together never sell more.
  • How many on a ticket type: that type stops at its own number.

A ticket waiting for its online payment holds its place until it is paid or the payment expires. Neither number can go below the tickets already sold.

In the list, each type shows how it is selling, for example “12 of 20 sold”, “No limit of its own”, “up to 2 per member” or “Online sales ended”.

What members see

Members open the event, choose how many of each type under Choose your tickets and pay. A type close to its limit shows how many are left; a full event reads Sold out, and after the last day of sales Sales closed. Their tickets then show in their account, under Tickets.

Staff can still sell any type at the desk with Sell tickets, also after online sales end.

Change or archive a type

You can edit a type at any time; tickets already sold keep what they were bought with. To stop selling a type, archive it: members can no longer buy it, and the tickets already sold stay valid.

Note: A promo code can apply to event tickets (All event tickets), on the Starter plan and up. See Create a promo code.
