Payouts: what is inside each Stripe transfer to your bank
Settings, Payouts lists every transfer Stripe made to your bank. Open one to see the payments, refunds, disputes and Stripe fees inside it, each linked to its elastudio order, and export a CSV for your accountant. On the Growth plan.
What it is for
Stripe does not send each sale to your bank on its own. It groups them into payouts: one transfer with many payments, less refunds, disputes and Stripe’s fees. The amount on your bank statement rarely matches a single sale.
Payouts shows each of those transfers and what is inside it, so you or your accountant can match the bank statement to your sales.
- It is on the Growth plan and up. Below Growth the page shows Available from Growth.
- The owner and admins can open it.
- It needs your Stripe account connected. Without it, the page says Connect Stripe to see your payouts. and Go to Payments takes you there.
- elastudio only reads this from Stripe. It never changes anything in your Stripe account.
Note: If your studio used elastudio before 27 October 2026, Payouts starts switched off. The owner or an admin turns it on in Settings, Features, under Studio: switch on Payouts.
See your payouts
Open Settings and choose Payouts, under Money. The list shows the newest first:
- Arrives: the day the money reaches your bank, as Stripe gives it.
- Status: Paid, Pending, On the way, Canceled or Failed.
- Amount: what was transferred.
- Inside: how many lines it has, or Not opened yet.
A payout marked Manual is one you asked for yourself in Stripe. Select Show older payouts to go further back.
The page says when it last read from Stripe. It reads again on its own after 15 minutes; Refresh from Stripe does it now. If Stripe is not answering, you see what was read last, and the page says so.
Open a payout
Select a payout to see Payout of and its date. At the top, the sums:
- Payments: what members paid.
- Refunds: money sent back.
- Disputes: card disputes and what came back from them.
- Stripe fees: Stripe’s processing fees.
- Other: anything else Stripe moved, such as an adjustment.
- Paid out: what reached your bank.
Below, every line with its Date, Type (Payment, Refund, Dispute, Stripe fee, Other), the Order it came from, the Amount, the Fee and the Net. Select an order to open it in Sales.
A line marked Not an elastudio sale is money in your Stripe account that did not come from elastudio, for example a payment you took in Stripe’s own dashboard. It still counts in the total.
- Manual payouts: Stripe does not list what a manual payout contains. Your Stripe dashboard shows the balance it came from.
- A very large payout: the page says This payout has many lines. Open it again to read the rest.
- A failed payout shows the reason Stripe gave. Check your bank details in Stripe.
Export for your accountant
- One payout: open it and select Export CSV.
- A period: on the list, under Export for your accountant, choose From and To and select Download CSV. You get every line of every payout that arrived in those dates.
The file opens in any spreadsheet. More on fees in What does Stripe charge, and does elastudio take a cut?.
