Choose your public pages and fill in your About page
In Website, Public pages, switch Prices, Teachers, Private sessions and About the studio on or off. The schedule is always on. The About page shows your description, contact, social media, places and opening hours, with Open now in your time zone.
Where to find it
Open Settings (the cog at the bottom of the menu) and, under What members see, select Website, then the Settings tab. The switches are in Public pages. The About page has its own editor, About the studio, under Studio in the same menu. The owner and admins can open both.
Switch pages on or off
Under Public pages there is a switch for each page you may hide:
- Prices: the page with your passes and plans. On by default.
- Teachers: the teachers list and each teacher’s page. On by default.
- Private sessions: the page where members request a private session. It gets its own menu item while you offer session types. On by default.
- About the studio: your description, contact, places and opening hours. Off until you turn it on.
Choose Save to keep your changes. The schedule, the privacy notice and terms, sign-in and members’ accounts are always on and have no switch.
Note: While About the studio is off, a note under the switches says whether the page already has content, with Edit the About page.
What members see when a page is off
- The page leaves your menu and footer, and its part of the booking embed on your website shows a short “not available” line instead.
- Someone who opens its address sees “This page is not available” with Open the schedule. Search engines are told not to list it.
- Links in your e-mails that point to that page open your schedule instead. With Prices off, the “See prices” and “Buy again” lines are left out of e-mails, and the rest of the message stays the same.
Turning a page off never stops booking:
- Prices off: members still see and buy a pass when they book a class.
- Teachers off: classes still show who teaches them, with the photo.
- Private sessions off: new requests stop, and members still see the requests they already made.
Fill in your About page
- Open About the studio.
- Under Description, write a few lines about the studio in each of your languages. Leave a blank line between paragraphs. If one language is empty, members see your studio’s main language.
- Under Contact, fill in Studio e-mail, Phone and WhatsApp. The studio e-mail is the one address members and elastudio use to reach the studio: it shows on this page, members’ replies to your studio’s e-mails go there, and so do studio alerts unless you set a separate notification e-mail (see Studio notifications). If it is empty, those replies and alerts reach nobody, and the page tells you so. Phone and WhatsApp need the country code, for example +55 73 99999 0000. Leave the phone or WhatsApp empty to hide it.
- Under Social media, add your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube. Type your user name, such as @yourstudio, or paste your profile’s address. When you leave the field it shows the address that will be saved, for example
https://www.instagram.com/yourstudio/. Only your profile’s address on that network’s own site is accepted: a post, a link to another site or an address that does not start with https is refused. Leave a field empty to hide it. - Places lists your locations that have an address, each with a map link. Its own map link is used when the location has one; otherwise members get a map search for the address. To change them, choose Edit places.
- Under Opening hours, turn on Show opening hours and choose Add hours for each day you open. A day can have more than one range, for example a break at lunch. A day without hours shows as Closed. Copy Monday to Tuesday through Friday saves typing.
- Optionally add a Note under the hours in each language, such as “Holidays: see our Instagram”.
- Choose Save.
Everything on this page is public: anyone who opens it sees your e-mail, phone, WhatsApp and social media. At the top of the editor you can see whether the page is on, Turn the page on or off, and Open the page to check it as members do.
What members see on the About page
Your description comes first. Under Contact, the e-mail opens their mail app, the phone can be tapped to call and WhatsApp opens a chat with your number. Your social media profiles follow, each with its name and your user name, for example Instagram @yourstudio; tapping one opens your profile in a new tab. It is a plain link: no feed or widget from the network is loaded on your page. Where we are lists your places with Open the map. Opening hours shows the week with today highlighted and Open now or Closed now, worked out in your studio’s time zone. A section with nothing filled in is left out.
On your own website
The booking embed has an About the studio element in What to show. It shows the same content, and only while the About page is on.
Note: The e-mail, phone and WhatsApp on your About page are also what a new visitor sees when your studio is not taking new members online, for example when your plan’s monthly member limit is reached.
