Sign in to the admin with a password
Owners, admins, front desk and teachers can add a password. It always works together with a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, so a stolen password alone never opens the admin.
You never need a password: a code or a link sent to your e-mail, or Google, always works. If you prefer a password, add one together with two-step verification (a second check where an app on your phone shows a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds). Your password opens the admin only with that code.
Add your password
- Sign in with a code, a link or Google. The next steps need a sign-in from the last 10 minutes.
- Open My profile (your picture or initials at the bottom of the menu) and choose Sign-in and security.
- Set up Two-step verification first. See Set up two-step verification.
- Under Password, select Create a password. Use at least 10 characters, not your e-mail address, and select Save password.
You have one password for every studio where you have a profile, as staff or as a member. Once two-step verification is on, that password always asks for the code too, at every studio.
Sign in with it
- On your studio’s sign-in page (elastudio.app/your-studio/login) or at app.elastudio.app, type your e-mail and select Use my password.
- Type your password and select Sign in (or Continue at app.elastudio.app).
- Open your authenticator app and type the 6-digit code it shows for elastudio. Each code works once.
The code step only appears after a correct password. A wrong password always gets the same message, for your safety. The password is only ever typed on elastudio’s own pages, never in the booking blocks on a studio’s website.
Change or forget your password
- Within 10 minutes of signing in with a code, a link or Google, select Change password: you do not need the current one. This is also how you replace a password you forgot.
- Later, change it with your Current password.
- Every change signs you out on your other devices and sends you an e-mail.
Good to know
- Without two-step verification, your password does not open the admin. It still works for your own member account at a studio, if you have one.
- A code by e-mail and Google never ask for the authenticator: they are your way back in if you lose your phone. See Lost your phone?.
