Analytics

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity help us see which pages are used, where people get stuck and which campaigns bring visitors, including recordings of clicks and scrolls with all text on the page hidden. We also remember in this browser, for 90 days, which campaign link brought you. If you switch this on, the data is sent to Google and Microsoft in the United States, and you agree to that transfer.

How to run your studio on elastudio, from your first class to your monthly reports.

Move from Mindbody to elastudio

Bring your members, passes, bookings and sales over from Mindbody in an afternoon. You export each list from Mindbody, upload it in elastudio, check it, and import. Nothing is saved until you press Import, and you can undo an import for 7 days.

How Mindbody exports

Mindbody’s reports download as Excel. Use a wide date range: the reports default to the last two months, and very large ones may time out, so split them by year. Mindbody also sells a full data export (about US$500, only when you cancel).

Before you start

In elastudio, go to Settings, Import, choose Mindbody under I’m coming from… and follow the files in order. Create your passes and memberships in elastudio first, with the same names as in Mindbody, so members’ passes find them. Some column names come from the platform’s help pages and may have changed: any column we do not recognise, you match yourself.

Only the owner and admins can import, on every plan, including Free.

File 1: Clients (Mailing List)

  1. Go to Reports, Clients, Mailing Lists (newer screens: Insights, Reports, Clients, Mailing Lists).
  2. Switch Email List to Mailing List and set the opt-in status to All Clients, then generate.
  3. Click the Excel icon to download.
  4. Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets and save it as CSV (File, Save as, CSV UTF-8).

Opt-in columns are never imported: members give their consent again in elastudio.

File 2: Passes with classes left (Visits Remaining)

  1. Go to Reports, Clients, Visits Remaining and choose the Detail view.
  2. Select all service categories and pricing options and a wide date range, then Export to Excel.
  3. Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets and save it as CSV (File, Save as, CSV UTF-8).
  4. If the file has no e-mail column, add one (copy it from the members file): bookings, passes and sales find each member by e-mail.
  5. Create the same passes and memberships in elastudio first (Settings, Passes and memberships), with the same names as in the file.

Autopay memberships are in Reports, Clients, Membership: import them in this same category, with Member To as the last valid day.

File 3: Visits and attendance

  1. Go to Insights, Reports, Clients, Attendance without Revenue (or Attendance with Revenue).
  2. Pick the dates and download as Excel. For upcoming bookings, use Reports, Staff, Schedule at a Glance with Client ID ticked.
  3. Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets and save it as CSV (File, Save as, CSV UTF-8).
  4. If the file has no e-mail column, add one (copy it from the members file): bookings, passes and sales find each member by e-mail.

Late cancellations and cancelled visits are left out.

File 4: Sales

  1. Go to Insights, Reports, Sales, Sales (or Sales by Service in the Detail view).
  2. Pick one year at a time and download as Excel.
  3. Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets and save it as CSV (File, Save as, CSV UTF-8).
  4. If the file has no e-mail column, add one (copy it from the members file): bookings, passes and sales find each member by e-mail.

Upload each file

  1. In the guide, choose Upload this file next to the file. The page says it is using the Mindbody template.
  2. Check the column matches. The columns the template knows are already matched. Choose a field for any column left on Ignore this column, or leave it ignored.
  3. Check Dates in the file. The template sets it, and you can change it to day first, month first or year first.
  4. Choose Preview, then Check every row. Nothing is saved yet.
  5. Choose Continue to import, then Import now.

Once a file is in, the guide marks it Imported and you move on to the next one. Rows Mindbody exports that are not real data, such as cancelled visits or unpaid orders, show as left out in the check, never as errors.

If your file looks different

This guide is based on Mindbody’s public help pages. Some menus and column names may have changed since we checked them on 27 Oct 2026.

Nothing blocks the import when a column is not recognised:

  • Any column elastudio does not recognise stays on Ignore this column. Match it to an elastudio field yourself, or leave it out.
  • Use Save this column match as to keep your matches for the next file of the same kind.
  • If the guide does not fit your screens at all, choose Another system or a spreadsheet under I’m coming from… and match every column yourself, as in Import members from a spreadsheet.

Want a better guide for Mindbody? Send the first row of your file (the column names only, never member data) to support@elastudio.app and we update the template.

What never comes over

Marketing, WhatsApp and SMS consent (members give it again in elastudio), card details, and identity documents.

Note: Mindbody also has a public API: the owner activates each developer; free up to 5,000 calls a month, then a fee per call (API documentation). elastudio imports files only; connecting to a platform’s API is not available yet.
