Run your studio in English and Portuguese, and set its time zone
In Settings, Languages and time zone, turn on English, Brazilian Portuguese or both and check the time zone. Each text you write gets one field per language, and every member sees pages and e-mails in the language they choose.
Choose your studio’s languages
elastudio works in English and Brazilian Portuguese. You can use one or both.
- Open Settings and choose Languages and time zone.
- Under Languages, turn on the languages members can choose from.
- Pick the Main language. It is used when a text is missing in a member’s language.
Only the owner can change languages; admins can see them. Keep at least one language on.
Write each text in each language
Once two languages are on, every text members see gets one field per language: class type names and descriptions, pass and membership names, teacher bios, room descriptions, e-mail templates and the rest.
If you skip a translation, members who use that language see the text in your main language instead. The admin shows how many translations are missing, so you can fill them in later.
Note: Write each language yourself, or have someone check it. elastudio does not translate your texts automatically.
What members see
Members choose their language in their account, under Language. Pages and e-mails from your studio then come in that language. A member who has not chosen one sees the language of their browser if your studio has it, otherwise your main language.
Dates, times and money follow the language too. Portuguese shows R$ 70,00 and 09/10/2026, English shows R$70.00 and 9 Oct. Class times always use your studio’s time zone, whatever device the member uses.
The studio’s time zone
On the same page, Time zone sets the zone every class time is shown in, on every device. The owner and admins can change it.
When you pick another zone, elastudio asks first: upcoming classes keep their local start time, so 08:00 stays 08:00 in the new zone, and past classes do not change. Select Change time zone to confirm.
The admin’s own language
Each person on your team chooses the language of the admin for themselves: open My profile (your picture or initials at the bottom of the menu; on a phone, under More), then Your details, Language. It also sets the language of the help links and of the e-mails the studio sends you. It does not change what members see.
