Analytics

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity help us see which pages are used, where people get stuck and which campaigns bring visitors, including recordings of clicks and scrolls with all text on the page hidden. We also remember in this browser, for 90 days, which campaign link brought you. If you switch this on, the data is sent to Google and Microsoft in the United States, and you agree to that transfer.

How to run your studio on elastudio, from your first class to your monthly reports.

How members sign in

Members sign in with a 6-digit code or a link sent to their e-mail, or with Google. They can also create an optional password in their account. No password is ever sent by e-mail.

Sign in with an e-mail code

  1. The member selects Sign in.
  2. They type their e-mail and select Send code.
  3. They get one e-mail with a 6-digit code and a sign-in link. The code works for 15 minutes and only once.
  4. They type the code and select Sign in, or open the link in the e-mail instead.

If the e-mail does not arrive, they can check spam or select Send a new code after a short wait. Only the code from the latest e-mail works.

The code is the easiest way to sign in inside the booking widget on your website, because the member never leaves the page.

Sign in with Google

The member selects Continue with Google and picks their Google account. If they already have an account at your studio with the same e-mail, they sign in once with an e-mail code first. After that, Google works too.

Sign in with a password

A password is optional. Members who want one create it in their account, under Profile, Password (see below). The e-mailed code keeps working either way.

For safety, a password is only used on your studio’s own booking page on elastudio, never in the booking widget on your website: a website could read what is typed in it, and the same password opens the member’s account at any studio that uses elastudio. In the widget, members sign in with the code or Google, and Profile, Password has a Manage my password link that opens your studio’s page.

  1. The member selects Sign in and types their e-mail.
  2. They select Use my password, which always sits beside Send code.
  3. They type their password and sign in.

If the password is wrong, or the account has no password, they see the same message and can ask for a code instead. A password only signs in someone who already has a member account at your studio: the first sign-in is always with the code or Google. Your team (owner, admins, front desk, teachers) signs in with the code, the link or Google, or with a password plus a code from an authenticator app (see Sign in to the admin with a password).

Forgot password? e-mails a link to choose a new one. It works for 60 minutes and only once, and opens on your studio’s page. No password is ever sent by e-mail.

The member’s password

In their account, under Profile, Password, members can:

  • Create a password: at least 10 characters, and not their e-mail address. For safety, this works only within 10 minutes of signing in. Otherwise they sign out, sign in again with a code and then create it.
  • Change password: needs the current one.
  • Forgot password? on the sign-in page: if they lose it, a link by e-mail lets them choose a new one.

Once a member has a password, it stays: there is no way to remove it, only to change or reset it. The code by e-mail keeps working beside it.

Creating or changing a password signs the member out on their other devices. Every time a password is created, changed or reset, the member gets an e-mail saying so. Staff cannot see, set or reset a member’s password.

No separate sign-up

Members do not need to create an account or a password before booking. When someone books or buys for the first time, they enter their name and e-mail and confirm the 6-digit code, and their account is created.

New members confirm they are 18 or older

Accounts are for people 18 and over. The sign-in screen has two boxes, both unticked: one to receive news and offers from your studio by e-mail, and I am 18 or older. Only someone creating a new account needs the 18 box.

  • With the code. If a new person types the code without ticking the box, the code screen shows I am 18 or older. again. They tick it and select Sign in with the same code.
  • With the e-mail link or Google. A new person who opens the e-mail link always sees a One more step page, and so does a new person on Google who did not tick the box first. The page has I am 18 or older. and the news box. They tick the 18 box and select Create my account.

People under 18 cannot create an account. Your staff add them.

Good to know

  • A member stays signed in for 30 days from their last visit on that device.
  • Each studio has its own member accounts. The same person can belong to two studios, and each studio sees only its own profile.
  • If the studio is not taking new sign-ups, new people see “This studio is not taking new sign-ups right now.” Existing members can still sign in.
  • After too many attempts in a short time, the member is asked to wait a few minutes.

Members can change the e-mail they sign in with themselves, in their account under Profile, Sign-in e-mail. Staff cannot change it for them.
