How to run your studio on elastudio, from your first class to your monthly reports.

Who owns your studio's data, and where is it kept?

Your studio owns its data: members, bookings, sales and content. elastudio handles it only to run the service for you, never sells it, and keeps it on Cloudflare servers in North America.

Your studio owns it

Your member list, bookings, sales records, class descriptions, logo and photos belong to your studio. Under privacy law, your studio is the controller of your members’ data and elastudio is the processor (the “operador” under Brazil’s LGPD). That means:

  • we handle member data only to run elastudio for you, on your instructions;
  • we never sell member data and never use it for advertising;
  • we use only counts and totals that identify nobody, such as how many bookings a studio had in a month, to run, support, bill and improve elastudio.

Your money stays with you

Payments from members go straight into your own Stripe account. Stripe holds and pays out your money, not elastudio. Card numbers never reach elastudio.

Where the data is kept

Our database and file storage are hosted by Cloudflare in eastern North America. Cloudflare has no Canada-only option, so treat the data as stored in the United States. Our other service providers are mainly in the United States too. Requests pass through Cloudflare data centres around the world, close to whoever is visiting.

Each studio’s data is kept separate from every other studio’s. A person who belongs to two studios has a separate profile at each, and one studio never sees the other.

Taking your data with you

  • The owner and admins can export the member list as a CSV file from Members.
  • Reports can be exported as CSV, with the right permissions.
  • For a full copy of your studio’s data, write to support@elastudio.app.

If you close your account, you have 30 days to export your data. After that it is deleted from our live systems, and from backups as they expire within about 30 days.

Note: We do not yet accept studios in Quebec, the European Union or the United Kingdom.
