Coming from another platform: bring your studio over
In Settings, Import, choose your current system under I'm coming from... and elastudio shows which files to export from it, in order, and matches their columns for you. Guides for Momoyoga, Mindbody, Tecnofit, Next Fit, Software Pilates, Glofox, Momence, bsport, Arketa and EVO (W12).
What it does
I’m coming from… is a guide for moving your members, their passes and memberships, their bookings and your sales history from the system you use today. Pick your system, and elastudio lists the files to export from it, in order, with the menu to find each one. When you upload a file, its columns, dates and statuses are already matched with that system’s template.
Only the owner and admins can import. It works on every plan, including Free, and on every studio.
Start a move
- Open Settings (the cog at the bottom of the menu; on a phone, under More) and choose Import in the Tools group.
- Under I’m coming from…, pick your system in Your current system.
- Follow Files to bring over in order. Later files refer to what earlier ones brought in, so members go first. Skip any file you do not need.
- For each file, export it from your old system, then choose Upload this file.
- Check the matches, choose Preview and Check every row, then import. Nothing is saved before Import now.
The guide shows how many files are done, and marks each one Imported or Not yet. If you named your old system when you signed up, the Getting started list on Today opens its guide for you.
Before the first file
- Create your passes and memberships in elastudio first, with the same names as in your old system, so members’ passes find them.
- elastudio reads CSV files. If your system gives you an Excel file (.xlsx), open it and save it as CSV (File, Save as, CSV UTF-8).
- Bookings, passes and sales find each member by e-mail. If a file has no e-mail column, copy it in from the members file.
The guides
| System | How sure the guide is |
|---|---|
| Momoyoga | From its help pages |
| Mindbody | From its help pages |
| Glofox | From its help pages |
| Next Fit | From its help pages |
| Arketa | From its help pages |
| Tecnofit | Best effort |
| Software Pilates | Best effort |
| Momence | Best effort |
| bsport | Best effort |
| EVO (W12) | Best effort |
“From its help pages” means the column names come from the platform’s public help pages and may have changed. “Best effort” means the platform publishes little about its exports, so its menus and columns may not match your screens. Each guide in the admin says the same, under Where this guide comes from.
When a column is not recognised
A guide never blocks an import. Any column the template does not know stays on Ignore this column: choose the elastudio field it belongs to, or leave it out. Use Save this column match as to reuse your choices on the next file.
If your system is not in the list, or its guide does not fit your screens, choose Another system or a spreadsheet. Any system that exports CSV or Excel works: export one list at a time and match the columns yourself, as in Import members from a spreadsheet.
What never comes over
- Marketing, WhatsApp and SMS consent. Members give it themselves in elastudio.
- Card details. Members add a card again the next time they pay.
- Identity documents.
Rows your old system exports that are not real data, such as cancelled visits, late cancellations or unpaid orders, are left out with a reason, never shown as errors. Nothing is e-mailed to members unless you turn on the welcome e-mail, and you can undo each import for 7 days.
Note: elastudio imports files only. Some of these platforms have a public API, and each guide names it, but connecting to another platform’s API is not available yet.
